Are you human?: Sam Altman’s World Coin startup has finally launched in the USA with a must-attend party in San Fransico this week. The all-seeing ORBS were present as attendees explained just how Altman’s parent company “Tools for Humanity” would validate humans in an AGI world. Ultimately World Coin is a competitor to X’s everything app, from two very different perspectives.

AI can Dunk! The NBA and NBC are bringing back announcer Jim Fagan’s voice after his passing with AI. With the permission of his family, the iconic voice will return to top-flight basketball. “His voice perfectly captured the magnitude of the heavyweight matchups and stars that he was introducing,” NBC Sports president Rick Cordella said, adding “It’s been a joy to work with Jim’s family to recreate his voice and honor his legacy.”

Don’t be evil… Google once had a company motto “Don’t be evil”. This week a DOJ court session with Google revealed any publisher, business or user that had opted out of having Google train on their data, due to some clever Google maneuvering, is not actually legally exempt. The only way to remove permission is to opt-out of being indexed for search via the robots.txt. EG: Not come up on Google search results at all. If it sounds like a monopoly led ultimatum, it is.
👾 Tool of the week: Cluely

Cluely has one mantra: “We want to cheat on everything”. To put it simply Cluely is an undetectable AI-powered assistant built for Virtual Meetings, Sales calls, and all sorts of uses. Its founder Chungin Lee was suspended from Columbia for creating the software, going on to raise over $5 million to fund the roll out. Our personal favorite use is during sales calls where the AI completes answers to every single objection or technical question in real-time to be used on call.

🤖 Doji gets an upgrade

Since Doji is one of our favorite AI apps of the year, we already featured the incredible work by Dorian Dargan and Jim Winkens before our summit. But this week Doji is being released to the public, and getting off test-flight. The big rumour, that the try on app will switch from static images to moving video try-on. A huge move that will redefine fashion try-on. This really is the hottest app of the moment, so download it from the app-store. You will need a coveted invite, so pester the AATM crew, or your fashion friends for one before it’s too late.
👾 Spotlight: Figure

At Artist and the Machine we’re huge fans of what the team at Figure are achieving. Their mission of building the world’s first commercially viable autonomous humanoid robot is significantly aligned with AATM’s vision of human-machine collaboration. Figure integrates reinforcement learning, and bases its work of a Vision-Language-Action model to evolve the humanoid robot to where it is today. Already showcasing some incredible and exciting use-cases, both in the home and in the workplace.

Claire Silver is an anonymous AI-Collaborative artist that works with oil, acrylic, collage, photography, and different digital mediums to create her work. She often blends the classical style and mythos into her art, collaboratively producing work that feels at once familiar and strange. Her work explores themes of innocence, trauma, the hero’s journey, and how our view of them will change in an increasingly transhumanist future. Claire’s art can be found in the permanent collection of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art, has been at Sotheby’s London and Christie’s New York and in galleries, museums, and festivals all over the world. Featured in the New York Times, WIRED, Fortune, NPR, and countless podcasts, Claire takes every opportunity to explore her unending fascination with AI, fight for visibility for this budding art movement, and wonder at the magnitude of this moment in history. She often feels like a caveman painting fire. Claire is vocal in her belief that with the rise of AI, for the first time, the barrier of skill is swept away and that in this evolving era, taste is the new skill.
