It’s the final countdown…

📰 News Roundup

  • Apparently there’s an AI summit happening: Word on the street is that an AI & Creativity Summit is going down on April 24th at 74Wythe in Williamsburg. Sounds cool, right? We’ve even heard rumors you can clone yourself and walk away with your own AI twin. Anyway… we’re throwing it. Come hang.

  • OpenAI is working on a social network: Whether Altman is cleverly trying to find a new real-time data resource for ChatGPT or just escalating his Billionaire rivalry with Musk, is yet to be seen. Insiders have verified the source and gravitas of this information, but Altman has made it a little more public, “ok fine maybe we’ll do a social app.” he posted.

  • Music that poisons AI: A musician has become fed up with large AI companies scraping his and other musician’s work, has created a “Poisinify” attack which not only makes his music untrainable, but threatens to impact an LLM’s entire data set.

  • You can now ignore your parents with AI: In what feels like a black mirror episode, a company named ‘intouch’ has created an AI to speak to your parents… so you don’t have to. In a completely empathetic, non creepy tag-line, intouch states “You can’t call your parent every day — but we can”. Is this the signal the world is ending?

  • Windows Paint now has AI: The retro, yet still alive and kicking Microsoft Art Tool has been integrated with three AI tools. Image Creator (for generating new images), Generative Erase (for erasing parts of an image), and Remove Background (for taking away the background behind the main subject in an image).

We are SOLD OUT to the broader public but have opened up a very limited number of Last Call spots for our community. Invites will be accepted on a case-by-case basis, referrals will be prioritized.

👾 Summit Spotlight:

Frog Design Presents “Superalignment: Designing AI for Human Flourishing”

We have something truly special to announce for the summit. frog, global design consultancy behind Apple’s original design language, will host a fireside chat with Dominik Heinrich, Global AI Design Leader for Coca-Cola; Jason Severs, Head of Design for Frog; and Angella Tapé of Havas Group to explore “Superalignment: Designing AI for Human Flourishing” at 1:25 PM on the Human Stage.

The talk challenges the dominant narratives around AI’s impact in a computationally saturated world, showcasing how artists and designers may move beyond “humans in the loop” to become active collaborators with agentic and embodied AI. How can artistic sensibilities and human-centered design principles guide the development of “super-aligned” AI in a reciprocal value loop? How do we ensure AI remains a tool that empowers human expression and understanding, rather than dictating it?

👾 Eleven Labs, ‘Vibe Coding’ and a secret special guest

Expect real-world case studies, behind-the-scenes insights, and a candid look at how studios, creators, and technologists are shaping the next era of storytelling at 12:15PM on the Machine Stage!

👾 Embodied AI and Hardware: How AI-Powered Systems are Transforming Machine Interaction and Human Creativity

Join Grace Kasten (Pace Capital) in conversation with Sebastian Marino (Monumental Labs), Chloe Ryan (Acrylic Robotics) and Eric Wollberg (Prophetic AI) as they explore the edges of embodied intelligence—from neural interfaces to creative machines. Together, they’ll dive into how hardware and AI co-evolve, the aesthetics of augmentation, scarcity, craft and public art in the Age of AI and what it means to co-create (and lucid dream) with embodied systems.
